I had pneumonia in 2003 and there may be a link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-164657f5-bf59-456c-a0d0-ac9b643ac538\"><strong>How do I feel about my treatment<\/strong>?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-8ac93cca-0e54-4ba8-9b38-c156c7896193\">After the initial shock of the diagnosis, I was pleased to find that daily airway clearance exercises (together with use of an Aerobika device) can be very effective in keeping the condition under control, and that with this a fairly normal life is possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-e11a2fa0-c897-44db-8e4f-77eb154036ee\"><strong>How does it affect my day to day living<\/strong>?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After making some adjustments to my lifestyle including dietary and avoiding the cold, I now have only very occasional exacerbations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-e11a2fa0-c897-44db-8e4f-77eb154036ee\"><strong>Breathtakers Group Impact<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I have found joining Breathtakers to be very beneficial, due to the regular talks and interaction with respiratory health specialists, and it is an opportunity to meet others with a similar diagnosis and share knowledge and support on how to manage the condition and enjoy life as much as possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How was I diagnosed?
